Licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Accelerating Asia’s early-stage VC fund focuses on pre-Series A startups with untapped potential that are 6-18 months away from institutional funding.

While most angel investors and startup programs in the region focused on ideation-minimum viable product stage startups, and venture funds focused on solid product-market fit, startups with a robust product at early stages of customer traction are often overlooked. That is where Accelerating Asia comes in. Our accelerator and venture capital model are designed to support pre-Series A startups to fast-track growth and drive success, unlocking the potential in them so startups and us can grow together.

Building next gen unicorns

Finding themselves unemployed, after the successful corporate accelerator they ran closed down in Singapore, Craig and Amra realised there was a need for an independent, homegrown VC accelerator for Asia run by Founders for Founders out of Singapore. Since Craig and Amra had that first Accelerating Asia meeting in a random room at a coworking space, we've grown to a core team of over 10 that has invested in 50+ startups and to have our very own office HQ in Singapore.

2019

Co-Founders Craig and Amra launched Accelerating Asia from a co-working space after investing in Shop-Up through a corporate accelerator. Shop-Up later closed a $75M Series B with backing from Sequoia Capital India, Flourish Ventures, and VEON Ventures.
2019

Accelerating Asia makes its first investments into 10 high-growth pre-Series A startups from Singapore, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam and the Philippines.
2019

A rare sighting of Craig in shoes at a bootcamp for startups in Taiwan - it's rumoured, he's since bought at least 1 more pair but flip flops remain his footwear of choice.
2020

We invest in 15 startups, adding our first startup from India, Project Pro to the portfolio. Our flagship accelerator shifts online as we support the portfolio through covid-19.

Accelerating Asia is awarded the Most Innovative VC Firm Singapore and Startup Accelerator Program of the Year Singapore by the Global Business Outlook.
2020

We expand our programs, launching our digital accelerator prep program Amplify. And partnering with Youth Co:Lab, an initiative of UNDP and the Citi Foundat to run Springboard Plus for younth entrepreneurs.

We select 20 startups from 1000 applications to join our flagship program including TransTrack which raised investment from Cocoon Capital and the Indonesian Women's Empowerment Fund (an initiatve of Moonshot and YCAB Ventures).

We make a triumphant return to the seas for our annual team building and boat day after a long hiatus.
2021

Accelerating Asia closes our first VC fund which deploys capital to 40+ startups from Southeast and South Asia.

Amra buys a new dog, Lilo who becomes a regular feature on our team and startup cals.

Portfolio companies including SWAP, Numu, Transtrack, Shuttle, Drive lah, KaryaKarsa, Panalyt, Dana Money, Mayani, Giftpack, ChatGenie, Casamia and more close fundraising rounds and raise investment from institutional VCs.
2021

We launch and open Accelerating Asia Fund II for investment into pre-Series A startups and deploy the first round of capital to 8 startups covering insurtech, agritech, fintech, social commerce, ecommerce and edtech.
2022

Accelerating Asia goes fully virtual during the Pandemic while investing in XXX more companies this year.
2023

The portfolio grows to 80 startups and we make a big long-awaited pivot to change our business model to phase out revenue generated from programs that we run for partners, meaning 100% of the team are now focused on portfolio growth.
2024

We receive our first exit opportunity from a top-performing portfolio company and launch bi-annual Portfolio Showcases, to highlight startups in the portfolio that are taking things to the next level
