Pattern is the region’s first Social Food App and the ultimate growth engine for brick & mortar restaurants in emerging markets.

What problem is Pattern solving?

Brick-and-mortar restaurants are unable to acquire and retain new customers and increase footfall in their physical stores because they don't have any data and they're not connected with their consumers, so we help them use cutting-edge technology at a very fractional price, which helps them grow their business and expand into multiple branches very, very fast.

What products does Pattern offer?

Pattern offers a social food app for consumers and a CRM tool for brick-and-mortar restaurants where they can stay connected, offer exciting rewards to each of their users and improve a lot of their business metrics.

Why did you decide to founder Pattern?

We decided to founder Pattern because it's such a huge industry and a huge problem in Pakistan and a lot of emerging markets. Post-COVID, dining out is back, and people want to go out for different food experiences. They don't have any platform to actually discover and earn rewards when you pay at different restaurants. On the other hand, brick-and-mortar restaurants, despite having great food, are still struggling with increasing their in-store revenues, so when we saw these two problems, it was a no-brainer to get in and solve them because the market was ripe and this was a huge problem to solve.

Who is your founding team, and what are your professional backgrounds?

We're two co-founders, and both of us have worked with some of the most successful startups in the region - some of them include Logistics, some of them are B2B e-commerce, and some of them are Cloud kitchens—so we've got a diverse background working with some of the most well-funded startups in the region.

What countries do you currently operate in? What is your market reach?

We currently operate in Pakistan, a country with a population of 220 million people and a massive market. If I only talk about the restaurant industry, the annualized sales volume is around 11 billion dollars.

What is your revenue/business model?

Unlike delivery aggregators, who charge exorbitantly high delivery commissions, we only charge a small 5% takeaway commission, and we are able to do so since there is no logistics and no fuel expense where pickup and dine in are centered. It's a restaurant-friendly aggregator, so we help them boost sales and take 5% of everything they earn, which is why we've grown so quickly in just eight months. We work with 100 partner restaurants, have handled over 35,000 orders on the app, and have helped over 100 partner businesses increase their monthly sales by 35% every month.

Is Pattern currently fundraising, and if so, how much?

Yes, we are currently raising $1 million.

Where can our audience find pattern?

They can visit our website, https://thepattern.app/, as well as our Instagram page, @pattern.app, or look us up on LinkedIn, where we are active on all of these platforms.
